Police are appealing for information after a burglary in Farnborough on Thursday, May 7.

 

Between 4.20pm and 5.30pm an elderly man noticed a man stood in the kitchen of his home in Birchett Road.

 

The man claimed he was there to pick up a letter and then left the address. The victim later found that the upstairs bedrooms of the property had been searched and around £60, a wallet and a folder containing personal documents had been stolen.

 

The man is described as:

PC Tim Willis, of the Farnborough Targeted Patrol Team, said: “This was a despicable act that was targeted against an elderly member of the community.
 
“We are keen to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time.

“Residents are reminded to ensure their homes are as secure as possible at all times and report any suspicious activity to police as soon as possible.”
