Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a boy was indecently assaulted in Farnborough on Sunday, May 24.

At around 4.45pm a 13-year-old boy was at the public toilets in Cove Green.

While inside the toilets he was approached by a man who grabbed his arm and then indecently assaulted him.

The boy managed to break free and then ran off towards Cove Road. He was not followed by the man, who was seen to leave the park and walk along Cove Road and then Orchard Road.

The man is described as:

Detective Constable Katie Barry, of the Public Protection Unit, said: "Incidents like this are rare in Farnborough and the victim was shaken up following the assault.

"We want to hear from any witnesses or anyone who recognises the description of the man.

"It was a sunny day and a number of people were at the park and we would particularly like to speak to a father and daughter who were seen by the victim at the swings in the park and may have seen the man.

"Safer Neighbourhoods officers are also carrying out extra patrols in the area to attempt to identify the offender."
