Detectives in Aldershot are appealing for witnesses after an indecent assault in Farnborough on Friday, May 22.

At around 11pm a 40-year-old woman was walking along a path leading to Austen Road when she was approached from behind by a man.

The man indecently assaulted the victim and then walked off.

Detectives are keen to hear from a man who was in the area at the time wearing three quarter length trousers and who identified himself as ‘Pete'. Officers believe he may have information about the assault.

Detective Constable Andy Sullivan, of Aldershot CID, said: "This incident happened at a time when other people may have been making their way home and it may have been witnessed by someone.

"We would ask any witnesses or anyone with information to contact police as soon as possible."
