Officers from the Priority Crime Unit are appealing for the owner of a bike to contact them so they can return the property to its owner.

The red Saracen cycle was seized as part of an investigation into a burglary at an address in Farnborough.

Officers are now trying to trace the owner of the bike as enquiries so far have failed to establish who it belongs to.

Anyone who believes it is theirs should contact PC Matt Dennis at Aldershot Police Station on 0845 045 45 45.

To make it easier for the police to reunite stolen cycles with their owners, people should mark their bike with their postcode and house number; keep a note of the bicycle frame number and store a digital photograph of the bike, even if it is just on a mobile phone.
