Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in Aldershot on Sunday, July 12.

Sometime between 9pm and 9.30pm a 16-year-old boy was walking over the railway bridge between Station Road and East Station Road.

He was approached by two men who attempted to steal his iPod and then assaulted him before running off. Nothing was stolen.

The victim suffered a broken nose, bruising to his ribs and bruising to his head following the incident.

PC Al Fitt, of the Aldershot Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: “This was an unprovoked attack that left the victim with nasty injuries.

“It happened on a well used bridge over the railway line and may have been witnessed by someone.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw two men acting suspiciously.”
