Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman was assaulted in Yateley on Wednesday, August 12.
The 46-year-old victim has told police the incident happened at around 7.30pm as she walked her dog in an alleyway near Monteagle Lane.
The woman was facing the fence which runs alongside the alleyway when she became aware of someone standing close behind her who smelt strongly of alcohol.
The man assaulted her and then ran off towards the Poets Estate.
A passing jogger found the woman in pain and called an ambulance and police.
The woman was treated in hospital for her injuries.
PC Gavin Whyte, from Aldershot CID, said: “We believe this is an isolated incident and are conducting extensive enquiries.
“Although the woman doesn’t recall many people in the area at the time, we are keen to trace anyone who was in the area that evening.
“Did you see anyone acting suspiciously hanging around? Did you see the woman walking her dog or witness the assault?
