Police are appealing for witnesses after a number of fires in Yateley on Sunday, September 27.
Between 1pm and 4pm police received reports of four small fires being started on Yateley Common.
Officers believe a group of youths were in the area at the time and may have been responsible for the incidents which are being treated as arson.
PC Geoffrey Hill, of the Yateley Targeted Patrol Team, said: “We believe that all of these fires were started deliberately.
“Fortunately they did not spread and nobody was injured. However starting fires on purpose is extremely dangerous and can lead to serious damage and risk to life.
“The common is also designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest so this kind of behaviour is unacceptable.
“We would ask anyone who knows who is responsible for these fires or anyone who witnessed them to contact police as soon as possible.
“We would also ask any parents to contact us if their children came home on Sunday smelling of smoke or with blackened or burnt clothes.”
