Detectives are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Aldershot in the early hours of Sunday, October 4.

At around 1am a 49-year-old man was assaulted in Union Street.

He suffered a serious head injury and received treatment at Frimley Park Hospital.

Detective Constable John Gilliland, of Aldershot CID, said: “This was a serious incident and we want to hear from anyone with any information.

“The town centre would have been busy with people on nights out at that time on Sunday and we want to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault.”

A 21-year-old man and two 18-year-old women have been arrested and bailed in connection with this incident.
