Police have launched an appeal after jewellery worth £5,000 was stolen from a jewellers in Fleet on Tuesday, November 4. Around 1.30pm, two men and a woman entered the shop in Fleet Road. They looked around before waiting for staff to leave the shop front. One of the men then went behind a display counter and removed an item from the window display. The group then left the store. Staff then noticed that six pairs of diamond earrings had been taken.
Officers have released descriptions of the offenders.
The first man is described as: White
- In his early 20s
- Short black hair
- 6ft
- Slim build
- Wearing a green hooded top, jogging bottoms and trainers
The second man is described as:
- White
- In his early 20s but older than the first man
- Short black hair
- 6ft
- Slim build
- Wearing a dark hooded top, jogging bottoms and trainers
The woman is described as:
- White
- In her late 30s to early 40s
- 5ft 5ins
- Slim build
- Black or brown hair in a ponytail
- Wearing a grey cardigan, a t-shirt, black jogging bottoms and carrying a black handbag
Pc David McDonald, from Yateley police station, said: “This incident occurred during the lunch period in a busy town centre and I am sure there would have been lots of people in the area who may have seen something. “Three people have entered a shop with the intention of stealing and I would ask anyone who has information to contact us.”
