The family of a woman who died following a three-vehicle collision in Eversley has paid tribute to her.

Jennifer Allen, of Bearwood Road, Barkham in Wokingham, was involved in a collision which happened at about 11.15am on Wednesday, May 19, on the A327 near the junction with the entrance to Bramshill Quarry, near Warren Heath, Eversley.

A dark grey Audi TT, driven by a 27-year-old man from Milton Keynes, was travelling north towards Eversley, when it collided with a black 7.5 tonne Mercedes lorry and a green Ford Mondeo estate.

The lorry, driven by a 40-year-old man from Reading, and the Mondeo, driven by Mrs Allen were both travelling in the opposite direction.

Mrs Allen, 58, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital.

She died on Thursday, May 20, in hospital.

Her family said: "Jennifer was tragically taken from us in a sudden and unforeseen event on Wednesday, May 19.

"Although reserved, those that knew Jennifer were greeted with her vivaciousness and natural warmth. She was a most genuine, honest lady and all those that met her, experienced her wonderful generosity, as did many charities.

"Jennifer is sadly missed by all but lives on in two lovely daughters. However the world can ill afford to lose, in the true sense of the word - a lady.

"We would ask that our privacy be respected at this distressing time."

The driver of the Audi suffered minor injuries and was taken to Frimley Park Hospital. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

The A327 was closed for nearly six hours to allow officers from the Road Death Investigation Team to carry out a full investigation.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the incident or any the vehicles shortly before the collision.
