Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Aldershot on Sunday, May 30.
During Sunday the annual Ghurka Cup football competition was taking place at the football fields in Queen’s Avenue.
At around 1.10pm police were called to a fight that had happened at the location. When officers arrived they found two boys had been stabbed and a third boy had suffered minor injuries.
All three boys were taken to Frimley Park Hospital for treatment.
The incident did not involve anyone who was connected to the football competition.
Detective Constable Sue Champion, of Aldershot CID, said: “There were a large number of people in the area at the time of this assault.
“We would appeal to anyone who witnessed it or anyone with information to come forward and contact us.
“If you were at the competition on Sunday and saw anything suspicious please call us as soon as possible.”
Chief Inspector Duncan Weston, Commander for the Rushmoor District, said: “This event has taken place in Aldershot for many years without incident and attracts teams from all over Britain.
“This kind of incident appears out of character with the history and purpose of the event.”
A 16-year-old boy from Kent has been arrested and bailed in connection with this incident.
