In many homes emotions will be running high and consumption of alcohol will increase.
The North East Hampshire Domestic Violence Forum is urging people in this situation to think about how they can keep themselves safe.
Safety planning information can be found on various websites, for example www.womensaid.org.uk and www.mensadviceline.org.uk (for male victims).

If your partner’s (or any other relatives) alcohol or drug use will affect the way in which you are treated, you can call Parent Support Link who have a 24 hour telephone contact line you can ring on 023 8039 9764. The telephone line can provide emotional support, signposting, information about drugs and a non-judgmental listening service.
