Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Blackwater on Sunday, June 27.
At around 1.30am a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were walking along the A30.
As they reached the junction with Vicarage Road a navy blue Ford Fiesta drove past and the occupants shouted at them and mocked the gothic style clothing they were wearing.
The vehicle then began to follow the couple, driving at walking pace alongside them. The driver then reversed the car and drove over the man’s foot.
The car was then driven towards the man and he had to jump over the bonnet to avoid being knocked down. The car then drove off.
The victim suffered a bruised left shoulder and was treated at Frimley Park Hospital.
PC Daniel Simpson, of the Yateley Targeted Patrol Team, said: “This was an unacceptable and unprovoked attack on a couple walking along minding their own business.
“The incident happened in the early hours and we would ask anyone who was driving in the area on Sunday morning and saw anything suspicious to contact us as soon as possible.”
