Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Aldershot on Sunday, June 27.

Between 7pm and 8.30pm a 26-year-old man was assaulted at The Albion pub in Waterloo Road.

The victim suffered swelling to his head and a severed ear lobe following the assault.

PC Terence Read, of the Farnborough Targeted Patrol Team, said: “This was a nasty assault that resulted in serious injuries to the victim.

“We believe several people were involved in this incident and there were many more people at the pub at the time of the assault.

“We would ask anyone who was there and witnessed it to come forward and contact us as soon as possible.”

A 26-year-old man from Aldershot and a 31-year-old man from Bracknell have been arrested and bailed in connection with this incident.
