Police are appealing for witnesses and information after three trees were set on fire outside a property in Farnborough on Monday, June 28.
Sometime between 3pm and 3.30pm, the occupants of a property in Wayman Road discovered three large conifers at the front of their home were on fire.
The fire was extinguished by Hampshire Fire Rescue Service and although no damage was caused to the house, the trees were damaged. A resident also had to move a nearby vehicle to prevent it being damaged.
PC David Carpenter, from the Farnborough Targeted Patrol Team, said: "This is the second time these trees have been targeted in the last few months and although the house wasn’t damaged, this could have resulted in serious injury to the occupants or nearby residents.
"If anyone was in the area at the time of the fire, or knows who is responsible, please contact us.”
