Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a camera containing sentimental images was stolen during a night out in Aldershot.

Sometime between 1.45am and 2.10am on Sunday, July 11, the Fuji film digital camera was stolen from its owner’s bag.

The 20-year-old woman had been in Yates in Victoria Road and discovered her camera was missing when she reached Costa Coffee on Union Street.

PC Iain Howard, from the Farnborough Targeted Patrol Team, said: “The victim of this theft is extremely upset as the camera contains images of her auntie’s wedding earlier that day, at which she was the main photographer.

“The camera is a large professional style camera with a black strap and would have been easily seen. It’s likely the theft occurred while the victim was in the busy bar and there would have been many people around that may have seen something.

“I would like to hear from anyone who has any information that can help us find the camera or the memory card and return it to its owner.”
