Detectives are appealing for information after a serious assault in Fleet during the early hours of Sunday, July 18.

At around 1am a 26-year-old man was at Jaxx nightclub in Fleet. He was approached by a group of around six men who punched him to the floor.

The group then left the club.

The victim suffered a fractured eye socket and cuts and bruises following the assault and he was treated at Frimley Park hospital.

Detective Constable Matt Dennis, of Aldershot CID, said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack and the victim has suffered nasty injuries.

“We want to hear from anyone who can help us to identify the men responsible.

“Were you at Jaxx on Saturday night? Did you witness the incident or see the men leaving during the early hours of Sunday? If you did, please contact us as soon as possible.”
