Police appeal for help in tracing missing Farnborough teenager believed to be in Basingstoke

Police are appealing for help in tracing a 16-year-old girl who is missing from her home in Farnborough.

Mariah Taylorson-Knott was last seen when she left her home in Whittle Crescent at about 1pm on Wednesday, August 3, and hasn’t returned home since.

She was last seen wearing a flowery dress with a belt, roman-style sandals and she was carrying a small black handbag.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Mariah’s welfare, as she has no money with her and no access to her bank account.

Inspector Louise Clancy said: “Mariah has been in telephone contact but she has not been seen for some days. She is a vulnerable person so we need to see her to make sure she is safe.

“We believe Mariah may be in the Basingstoke area and we are urging anyone who sees her to contact us.

“Equally I would appeal to Mariah herself to get in touch and tell us where she is.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Darrin Carey, at Basingstoke police station on 101 or via the website www.hampshire.police.uk/internet/contact/message_officer.htm

You can also call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
