Nine people have been charged with public order offences as part of an investigation into football related violence in Aldershot. All the charges relate to an incident in Aldershot town centre prior to the Aldershot against Swindon game on Saturday, September 2.
- Shaun Freeland, 20, of Roberts Road, Aldershot, has been charged under section five of the Public Order Act.
- Two 17-year-old boys from Aldershot have been charged under section four of the Public Order Act.
- A 17-year-old boy from Aldershot has been charged under section five of the Public Order Act.
- A 17-year-old boy from Guildford has been charged under section five of the Public Order Oct.
- A 17-year-old boy from Fleet has been charged under section five of the Public Order Act.
- Two 16-year-old boys from Aldershot have been charged under section four of the Public Order Act.
All will appear before Aldershot Magistrates Court on Thursday, December 18. A 16-year-old boy from Farnborough has been charged under section four of the Public Order Act and will appear at Alton magistrates court on Monday, December 15.
