Police in Farnborough will be out in force this Christmas to ensure the town centre is a safe place for everyone.
By carrying out high visibility patrols officers will offer reassurance and crime prevention advice to shoppers in the town centre.
Working together with shop staff and town centre security, police will actively be targeting shoplifters and anyone causing anti-social behaviour.
A crime prevention advice desk will be open between 9.30am and 4.30pm on each of the operation days inside the Asda supermarket.
Officers will also be working in partnership with education welfare officers to identify and deal with any children truanting from school.
PC Lee Jeffers, of the Farnborough Safer Neighbourhoods team, said: "We will be doing everything we can to make sure everyone in the town has a safe and enjoyable festive season. "We are expecting an increase of people in the town centre during the next couple of weeks and we want to reassure residents and visitors to Farnborough that we will take positive action against anyone taking part in criminal activity. "We would remind everyone to look after their belongings at all times and alert police to anyone who is acting suspiciously."
