Detectives in Aldershot are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in Farnborough on Saturday, January 31.

Between 12.30am and 1.35am a 22-year-old woman was walking along Ladywood Avenue when she was approached by a man who offered her a cigarette.

She declined but the man followed her along Fleet Road and then pushed her into some bushes before sexually assaulting her opposite the junction with Chiltern Avenue.

The man is described as:

• White
• 6ft to 6ft 3ins tall
• Medium build
• Blond hair
• Wearing a blue t-shirt and smoking roll ups.

Detective Constable Andy Grieve, of Aldershot CID, said: "This was an isolated incident that happened in the early hours of the morning.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously in the area at the time."
