Police in Yateley are appealing for church members to get in touch if they have been approached by a man asking to borrow money during the last three months. Officers have recently become aware of a man who has been visiting churches in north east Hampshire and claiming that his wallet has been stolen and asking for money. On a number of occasions he has been lent money but has never paid anyone back.

The man is described as:

• White
• Short brown hair
• Medium build
• Well spoken

A 33-year-old man from Farnborough has been arrested and bailed in connection with these incidents
