Police are asking bank users to check their accounts after a suspicious device was found at a cash machine outside Barclays bank in Yateley.

Officers are warning anyone who used the cash machine outside Barclays in Reading Road, between the evening of Monday, February 2 and 8.30pm on Tuesday, February 3.

PC David McDonald, of theYateley targeted patrol team, said: "We believe that anyone who used the cash machine during this time could be a victim and we would urge everyone to check their bank accounts.

"This was an isolated incident and we are also asking anyone with information about it to come forward and contact police.

"Members of the public should be cautious when using cash machines and report anything suspicious to police as soon as possible."
