Police in Farnborough are appealing for witnesses after a robbery on Wednesday, February 25.  

 

Sometime between 3.10pm and 3.45pm a 12-year-old girl was walking home from school through a wooded area between Minley Road and Ryne Bank.  

 

She was approached by a man who threatened her and demanded her mobile phone. The girl threw her pink LG Chocolate phone at the man and then ran home. She was not injured during the incident.  

 

The man is described as:  

PC Samantha Marshall, of the Farnborough Targeted Patrol Team, said: "This robbery occurred at a busy time of day near to a busy road.  

 

"The offender was wearing a distinctive red top and we are appealing to anyone who saw him to contact us as soon as possible.  

 

"Incidents like this are rare but we would remind people to be vigilant and report any suspicious people or suspicious activity to police."
