Police in Fleet are appealing for information after a man committed an indecent act in the town on Tuesday, February 24.

Around 2.45pm, a 12-year-old girl was walking along Velmead Road when she noticed a man sat in a red hatchback car, committing an indecent act.

The girl told her father who reported the incident to police.

Sergeant Dave Hill, from the Fleet Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: "Incidents like this are rare in Fleet and we are keen to trace this man as soon as possible.

"We would ask anyone who saw a man in a vehicle matching the description given to contact police as soon as possible.

"We would also remind people to be vigilant and report any suspicious incidents to us."
