At around 12.15am a 24-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were walking along Ascot Court when they were approached by another man. The man claimed he had a gun, although no weapon was seen, and then stole the woman’s handbag and made off in the direction of The Grove.
Nobody was injured during the incident. The handbag was later recovered and nothing had been stolen. Officers have now released an e-fit of the man.
He is described as:
- Medium build
- Around 5ft 7ins tall
- Wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans.
PC Tim Faltermeyer, from Aldershot CID, said: “We would like to hear from anyone who recognises the man in the image, or has any further information that can assist us with this investigation.”
