Detectives in Aldershot are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery in the town on Tuesday, March 3.

At around 8.30pm two men entered Eden Bookmakers in North Lane. They threatened staff with a firearm and stole a substantial amount of cash.

They then made off in a green 4x4 vehicle which was parked outside and driven by a third man.

All three men were wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.

Detective Constable Dawn White, of Aldershot CID, said: "This robbery happened during the evening at a time when other people would have been around and someone may have witnessed it.

"Nobody was injured during the incident but members of staff were very shaken.

"Incidents like this are rare in Aldershot and we would ask anyone who saw a vehicle matching the description or anyone with information about the robbery to contact police as soon as possible."
