Detectives in Aldershot are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted at his home in Farnborough during the early hours of Saturday, March 7.  

 

Between 1am and 1.30am a 37-year-old man was involved in an argument with another man at a kebab shop on the A325 in Farnborough. The man he was arguing with then left the shop with a woman.  They drove off in a black vehicle.  

 

The man and a 35-year-old woman then returned to their address in Kempton Court.  

 

Shortly after they arrived home there was loud banging at the front door. Three men then broke in and assaulted the man before leaving.  

 

One of the men is believed to have been carrying a wooden baseball bat.  

 

The victim suffered injuries to his head and body, requiring a number of stitches.  

 

Officers are keen to speak to the couple who were at the kebab shop in connection with this incident.

Detective Constable Dawn White, of Aldershot CID, said: "We are keen to speak with the man and the woman who were at the kebab shop and may have some vital information about this incident.  

 

"We would also ask anyone with information about the incident to contact police as soon as possible.  

 

"Although it was early in the morning a number of people would have been making their way back from the town centre and may have noticed a man carrying a baseball bat."
