Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was found with serious injuries in Aldershot on wednesday, March 11.

 

At around 5.40am police were called by a member of the public who had found a man lying at the side of Church Road East near to the junction with Avondale Road.

 

The 56-year-old man, from Aldershot, was taken to Frimley Park Hospital and is currently receiving treatment for serious head and spinal injuries.

 

Police are keen to hear from any witnesses who may know how he received his injuries or who saw him walking along Church Road East in the early hours of Thursday morning.

 

He is described as:

Detective Inspector John Gaimster, of Aldershot CID, said: "This is a very unusual incident and at this stage it is unclear how the man received his injuries.

 

"We would ask anyone who may have seen him walking in the area or anyone who may have information about him to contact police as soon as possible."
