Detectives in Aldershot are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery in the town on Tuesday, March 17.
Just after 10.30pm a 47-year-old man was walking his neighbour's dog along Selborne Avenue.
He was approached from behind by a man who hit him on the back of the head and pushed him to the floor. The man then demanded the victim's wallet but nothing was handed over and the offender ran off.
The victim suffered cuts and bruises following the incident.
The man is described as:
- Around 5ft 10ins tall
- Slim build
- Wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up covering his face, black jeans and black trainers
Detective Constable John McCaig, of Aldershot CID, said: "This was an isolated incident that happened in the evening in a residential area and may have been witnessed by someone.
"We would ask anyone with information about the incident to contact police as soon as possible."
