Witnesses sought to Hook burglary

Police in Hart are appealing for witnesses and information following an attempted burglary in Hook on Friday, December 4.

Sometime between 7am and 10pm, a house in Weir Road was broken into.

The offenders had entered the rear garden and thrown a pot plant through a window.

Once inside, they have gone into the bedroom and moved the mattress and duvet in an apparent search.

Nothing else was touched and nothing was taken.

PC Daniel Simpson, from the Yateley Targeted Patrol Team, said: “This was a very unusual incident where someone has broken into this address looking for something specific.

“The homeowner has never stored anything under his bed so does not know why he was targeted in this way.

“If anyone has any information about this incident then please can they contact me in confidence.”

CAN YOU HELP?

Anyone with information about the incident should contact PC Simpson at Yateley Police Station on 0845 045 45 45 or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
