Detectives appeal for witnesses after attempted robbery in Farnborough

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery at a takeaway in Farnborough during the early hours of Sunday, December 13.

Just after 1am members of staff at Dominos Pizza in Victoria Road were cleaning up when a man entered the shop.

He threw curry powder in the faces of the members of staff and then left empty handed. Four people were taken to hospital after the incident with minor injuries and were later released.

The man is described as having a stocky build and wearing a black jumper and a black balaclava.

Detective Constable Andy Grieve, of Aldershot CID, said: “This was an unusual incident and although nothing was stolen members of staff did require hospital treatment.

“We would ask anyone with any information to contact us as soon as possible. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a man running down Farnborough Road towards the Pinehurst Roundabout at the time.”
