Police appeal for witnesses after suspicious incident in Aldershot

 

Police are appealing for information after a suspicious incident in Aldershot on Sunday, December 27.

 

Sometime between 12.40pm and 1pm a 12-year-old girl was outside the Co-Op in North Lane. She was approached by a man who made a comment to her and tried to persuade her to go for a walk with him.

 

The girl ran off home and the man did not follow her.

 

The man is described as:

 

  • White

  • Aged around 60

  • Skinny build

  • Bald patch on top of his head

  • Chest length beard

  • Smoking a pipe or cigar

  • Wearing a long green jacket, dark trousers and brown shoes

 

PC Lucy Gedney, of the Farnborough Targeted Patrol Team, said: “This was an unusual incident and we are keen to trace the man.

 

“Were you at the Co-Op on Sunday? Did you see a man matching the description? If you did, please contact us as soon as possible.”
