Police close Odiham crack house

Police have officially closed a house in Odiham after a Crack House Closure Order was granted by Andover magistrates under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 on Friday, January 15.

The order means that no-one can enter the property at 28 Buffins Road for three months, and during this time, it is a criminal offence for anyone to enter the address unless authorised by police.

PC Victoria Bolan, from the Odiham Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: “We have been working hard in the area to tackle local issues, including anti-social behaviour and drug related incidents.

“This closure order has been achieved through community engagement and listening to residents’ concerns and shows that by working together, we can make our communities safer.

“Drug use and drug supply affects everyone's quality of life, especially those living within a close proximity to where the offence is taking place.

“We will continue to pursue and actively target those involved in drug-related anti-social behaviour to improve safety in the community.

“We would ask anyone who suspect drugs are being used in their neighbourhood to contact us as soon as possible.”
