Witness appeal after pedestrian injured at Bentley

Police are appealing for witnesses after a red Volkswagen Golf was in collision with a pedestrian at Bentley on Monday, March 1.

At about 6.40pm, the Volkswagen was travelling towards Farnham outside the Bull Inn at Bentley when it was in collision with the walker, a 25-year-old Birmingham man.

The pedestrian received life-threatening injuries.  He was taken to Frimley Park Hospital, where he is being treated.

The Volkswagen driver, a 59-year-old man from Claygate, Surrey, was arrested on suspicion on inflicting grievous bodily harm.  He was bailed, pending further investigations, until April 27.

Officers from Farnborough Roads Policing Unit need to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the Volkswagen being driven prior to the collision.
